VEF Riga needed a win in order to seal a playoff ticket and, although they had it within their grasp, Bonzie Colson and SIG Strasbourg didn’t allow it. After two overtimes, the French team was victorious, 101-94.
Colson banked in 31 points along with a number of crucial shots including the three-pointer which sent the game into overtime.

Jaromir Bohacik helped with 16 and DeAndre Lansdowne with 13 points. For Riga, Kyle Allman scored 21 in addition to Isaiah Pineiro’s 18 and Aigars Skele’s 14 points. Pineiro also grabbed 13 rebounds.
Strasbourg improved to 4-1, confirming the playoff ticket as well as the first spot in Group E. Riga stands at 3-2 and will have to face off against Peristeri for the playoff spot in the last game of the regular season.
