Off the confirmation of Steven Gray’s departure, Peristeri boosted its squad with Mexican guard Jorge Gutierrez.
Gutierrez, 32, starting the current season in Germany with BG Gottingen will debut in the Basketball Champions League. His new team needs an away win versus VEF Riga by a margin greater than three points to advance to the next round.
The former California standout went undrafted in 2012 but made his way to 53 NBA games between the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, and Milwaukee Bucks until 2016. His following European stops include Turkey, Italy, Spain, and Germany.
