Yanick Moreira suffered an injury during AEK’s training Thursday that will keep him sidelined for the team’s upcoming games. The Angolan center suffered a rupture of multiple joints of his right ankle joint and the estimated time of his return has not yet been specified.
Moreira will be monitored on a daily basis before any decision is made on the treatment of his injury.
AEK faces Nizhny in Novgorod for the Basketball Champions League Top 16 tip-off next week and will miss one of its top contributors, as Moreira averages 17 points and 7.3 rebounds across 5 games so far in the season.
