SIG Strasbourg will start the Basketball Champions League playoffs with Ishmail Wainright missing the away game versus Turk Telekom scheduled to be held Tuesday. The player will remain quarantined after testing positive for coronavirus.
Wainright, 26, has been in isolation since February 20, the French club announced Saturday adding that his latest coronavirus test performed Friday was still positive. He was subsequently ruled out for the trip to Turkey.
The American forward posted 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2 assists per Regular Season match aiding his side advance to the playoffs. Aside from Turk Telekom, the remaining Group K teams are AEK and Nizhny Novgorod.
