A strong start to the second half got Igokea firmly in charge and ultimately secured a big win on the road, 91-75, over VEF Riga on Tuesday.
Edin Atic and Anthony Clemmons shared a game-high 23 points. They delivered nine of the 13 triples for the visiting side in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 Gameday 2 contest.
A 19-8 run stretching across the second and third period generated a 16-point lead at the Arena Riga for Igokea.
Kyle Allman Jr. went for a team-high 20 points. The former Cal State Fullerton standout added seven assists and three rebounds. Isaiah Pineiro ended up with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the team coached by Janis Gailitis.
The winning side jumped to 1-1 in Group J forcing the Latvian club down to 0-2.
