Brose Bamberg started the Basketball Champions League playoffs with two losses but coach Johan Roijakkers’ squad bounced back with a convincing 117-76 home win against Casademont Zaragoza.
Brose now holds a 1-2 record compared to Zaragoza’s 2-1 and the Germans have taken over the tiebreaker advantage as the first clash belonged to Zaragoza by a 12-point margin.
Michele Vitali put on a perfect shooting night with 23 points without a missed shot. He was 8-8 from the field including 6-6 from deep.
Shevon Thompson added 17 points and nine rebounds while Devon Hall followed with 16 points. On the opposing side, Jacob Wiley scored 18 and Rasheed Sulaimon 16 points.
