Nizhny Novgorod head coach Zoran Lukic has been named the Basketball Champions League Coach of the Year for the 2020-21 campaign.
And it was well-deserved. He led the hosts of the Final Eight past all expectations and successfully eliminated two title contenders from the race in the playoffs group – AEK and Turk Telekom.
Lukic has been on the head of Nizhny Novgorod since 2017 as the team has been gaining more respect year-by-year and this time they made an additional step forward, reaching the Final Eight where they will face off against Casademont Zaragoza.
