Unicaja Malaga is bringing in Spanish forward Jonathan Barreiro as Diario Sur reported first. According to Eurohoops sources, the two sides have already signed a three-year deal and the club officially announced the deal one day after our report.
Barreiro, 24, has spent the previous five seasons with Zaragoza, with which he posted 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League during the 2020-21 campaign.
Unicaja had to cover the 150,000 euros clause on the player’s contract, which is still valid through 2023, due June 30, in order for the move to be completed.
