Lenovo Tenerife announced that the team has agreed to terms with Kyle Wiltjer who will join the team on a one-year deal. Wiltjer played for Turk Telekom for the past two years and will make his return to Spain (played for Unicaja in 2018-19).

Lenovo Tenerife has acquired the services of power forward Kyle Wiltjer for next season. Wiltjer (Oregon, 10/20/1992) arrives from the Türk Telekom in Ankara, where he played the last two seasons.
The new Canarian player, a 28-year-old 2.08, has averaged 18.5 points this last year (with 44.3% in triples), 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the Turkish Super League (it was the fourth highest scorer of the tournament); in addition to signing averages of 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
Kyle has dual US-Canadian nationality and has been international for Canada (he was a silver medalist at the 2015 Pan American Games). In the Lenovo Tenerife he will live his second experience in the Endesa League, since in the 2018-19 season he played with Unicaja de Málaga, forming an inner partner with the aurinegro Gio Shermadini.
During his formative years, Wiltjer was an NCAA champion with the University of Kentucky in the 2011-12 season, under John Calipari. The following campaign he was named “Best Sixth Man” by the SEC, before choosing Gonzaga University to finish his college degree. Already with the Bulldogs he broke his record of points with 45, in addition to guiding his team to a 35-3 balance that allowed him to play the Elite Eight .
In 2016 he was selected in the Draft of the NBA Houston Rockets, where he played fifteen games. Then he would be transferred to Clippers and Raptors to make the leap to Europe in October 2017, at the hands of the Greek Olympiacos, with whom he played the Euroleague as a prelude to his aforementioned signing for Unicaja Málaga.
