Joshiko Saibou will return to the French league, as well as the Basketball Champions League, this time around in the JDA Dijon jersey as the club announced a two-year deal with the player.

Per JDA Dijon:

The JDA group and its subsidiary JDA Dijon Basket are pleased to announce that the German leader Joshiko Saibou is arriving in Dijon for the next two seasons.

An experienced leader, Joshiko has spent his entire career in the Bundesliga, the German championship. Passed by Alba Berlin with whom he played in the Eurocup from 2017 to 2019, he then went to Telekom Baskets Bonn, where he faced JDA Dijon in the Basketball Champions League. Last season, Joshiko Saibou arrived at Champagne Basket as a free agent in February, a club with which he accumulated 12.8 points, 2.4 assists and a nice 43.1% success behind the arc.

The German international notably shined against the France team in the qualifying match for the Euro, with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 22 evaluation. He will soon play in the Tokyo Olympics in one of the “death groups” where he will face Australia, Italy and Nigeria.

His vision of the game, his ability to penetrate and his 3-point skill make him a versatile player to form a pair of complementary leaders with David Holston.

“I’m excited to join the team, to start a new chapter. I finished the season in the French championship last year, I was able to play at the Palais des Sports in Dijon, I really liked it. I can’t wait to arrive and meet everyone.”
