Rytas has added Vaidas Kariniauskas, the team announced Wednesday.
Kariniauskas, 27, returns to the Basketball Champions League following his six appearances in 2018-19 attached to Lietkabelis. He has also participated in the 2017 and 2018 BCL qualifiers.
The Lithuanian point guard has played in Greece, Romania, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina after being concluding his run with his first pro team, Zalgiris. He split the 2020-21 season between Nevezis and Juventus averaging 16.6 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per LKL contest.
Lithuanian shooting guard Margiris Normantas was the first offseason transfer for Rytas. Ivan Buva has extended his contract for the next season.
The Lithuanian team will square off with Hereda San Pablo Burgos, Besiktas Icrypex, and EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Group H of the Champions League Regular Season.
