AEK Athens has reached agreements with several players over the 2021 transfer season but unable to actually register any of them and officially include them on its roster.
What’s the reason behind this? Their numerous bans that climbed to 14, according to a list of sanctioned clubs that is published at FIBA’s website. The 14th ban was added Thursday (12/8), putting AEK at the top of the list above Turkish club Trabzonspor (13 bans).
AEK, the 2018 Basketball Champions League winner, has been expecting to resolve the issue with its sanctions by the mid of August, per club president Makis Aggelopoulos.
