AEK has completed its first signings of the offseason with Dimitris Flionis inking a two-year contract and Andreas Petropoulos penning a one-year contract. The deals were made official on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
Flionis, 24, has been an Aris player since 2015-16. His six-year stint included 30 Basketball Champions League appearances. He logged 5.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game in the 2020-21 edition of Greece’s Basket League.
Petropoulos, 27, is set for his BCL debut. He last played for Ionikos averaging 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per Basket League match over 21 appearances.
The Greek team, leading FIBA’s list of sanctioned clubs, will take on Falco Szombathely, VEF Riga, and one more team surviving the qualifiers in Group D of the Champions League Regular Season.
