After Thon Maker, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem has also announced the addition of Sean Kilpatrick and Anthony Bennett to the roster for the upcoming season.
Per Hapoel Jerusalem:
The rich resume of the New York Combo Guard speaks for itself. Kilpatrick was an All-American at Cincinnati College, and after that went on to 4 seasons in the best league in the world where he played for Minnesota, Brooklyn, Denver, Milwaukee, Chicago and the Los Angeles Clippers. During those seasons Sean has appeared in 156 official games. He recorded his best season in the Brooklyn Nets uniform in the 2016/17 season during which he appeared in 70 games and averaged 13.1 points per game.
Sean’s first stop in Europe was at Panathinaikos in the 2018/19 season with which he won the Greek double and reached the quarterfinals of the Euroleague while scoring over 9 points on average per game.
He finished last season in Spain with Gran Canaria, where he averaged 11.9 points and 1.9 assists per game.
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem coach commented on the signing when he said: “This is a player with proven abilities at the highest levels. He is an experienced, tough player, and gifted scorer.”
Bennett’s first elected draft pick in 2013 played four seasons in NBA (Cleveland, Minnesota, Toronto and Brooklyn) during which took part in 151 games and averaged 4.4 points.
Then he went to the G Leaugue in the development of the Brooklyn Nets where he meets with more than 18 points per game.
Bennett also has experience in Europe, having been with Fenerbahçe in the 2016/17 season and won the Euroleague (first time ever).
Yotam Halperin said: “We see great potential in Anthony and we are convinced that in the right situation, he can begin to realize the potential that lies within him. “I believe that the envelope that Hapoel will give him, together with Oren’s style of play, can bring out things that we have not yet seen from this talented player.”
