Russian side Parma and Ukrainian team Prometey became the last two squads to advance to the Finals of the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League Qualifiers. They will face each for a spot in the regular season.
Prometey made the start by defeating Czech club Opava 100 – 78 behind a dominant game by D’Angelo Harrison (33 points, eight rebounds). Sean Evans contributed 20 points on 10-11 shots and Chris Dowe added 13 points, four rebounds and four assists for Prometey that finished with 14-28 on 3-pointers and 30 assists.
Opava couldn’t hold back their opponents’ efficient output. Jakub Sirina (15 points), Mattias Markusson (12 points, 13 rebounds before being fouled out after playing 19:47) and Filip Zbranek stood out from the losing team.
Parma eliminated Le Mans with a 82 – 69 win to qualify to the Finals. Jeremiah Hill led the winners in scoring with 17 points plus six assists and Eigirdas Zukauskas pitched in 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Scott Bamforth (22 points, eight assists, six rebounds) was the best Le Mans had to offer.
