Igokea got the close 68-64 win over PAOK thanks to two big plays by Aleksa Radanov who blocked Malcolm Griffin and then made a three that sealed the deal for the hosts team in the first round of Group E of the Basketball Champions League.
The guests led even by 11 points at the start of the last quarter (55-44) but Igokea didn’t give up and managed to steal the “W” in the last two minutes of the game. Antabia Waller had 14 points for the winning side, but it was Radanov with 13 and seven rebounds who stole the show.
PAOK led for most of the game with Griffin scoring 18 points, while Josh Carter and Vasilis Toliopoulos scored 11 points each. However, Radanov with a three cut the lead of the Greeks to three (64-61) with two minutes left in the game and then helped his team finish the game with a 10-0 run, scoring in total six of those 10 points and Stefan Djordjevic adding four.
