Jonah Radebaugh was on fire for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg as he led the team to a comfortable 94-81 home win against Banco di Sardegna Sassari in Group A of the Basketball Champions League.

The 24-year-old Northern Colorado alumni banked in game-high 24 points on 9-14 shooting including 2-3 from deep while adding four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Tremmell Darden helped him out with 13 points while Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann logged seven points and 11 rebounds. Yorman Polas Bartolo scored 12 points.

For Sassari, which went through a lot of changes this past summer, David Logan had 21 followed by Christian Mekowulu with 19 and Anthony Clemmons with 17 points. Mekowulu also grabbed eight boards while Clemmons dished seven assists.

Ludwigsburg was in control from the very start and throughout the whole game, creating a 22-point lead already in the second quarter (48-26) and not allowing any comebacks by the Italians who couldn’t reach past an 11-point margin (83-72).

Rebounding was the crucial factor for Ludwigsburg in this win as they outscored the opponent 22-6 from second-chance points, all coming from 13 offensive boards.
