Filou Oostende was on the verge of their third straight loss this season in the Basketball Champions League but the Belgian squad bounce back and grabbed an 87-85 road win against Kalev/Cramo.
Oostende was already 0-2 before this clash and found themselves down in double-digits several times throughout the game, including (67-53) at the start of the fourth quarter.
If it had stayed that way, the loss would most likely seal their fate but Oostende went on an 11-0 run (67-64) and eventually managed to force overtime thanks to Levi Randolph’s three-pointer with five seconds left on the clock.
Another her showed up in overtime for Oostende as Phil Booth banked in the game-winning there with four seconds left. Devin Barry had a chance to win it for Kalev but missed the shot.
Dusan Djordjevic was the leading scorer for the winning team with 16 points while Haris Bratanovic followed with 15 and Mikael Jantunen with 11 points. Randolph added ten, as did Keye van der Vuurst de Vries.
For Kalev, Silas Melson scored 21 and Berry 14 points. Kristjan Kitsing and JeQuan Lewis had 17 each.
Both teams now have 1-2 records in Group F.
