The fifth week of the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League campaign featured groups C, D, G, H with a total of eight games on the schedule.
Unicaja and Dijon tipped off the week (and the month) on November 1st, and although a close clash was expected, the Spaniards dominated their guests and made a statement as they improved to 3-0. Meanwhile, Nizhny Novgorod fell to 0-3 after the loss to Lavrio and they aren’t the only team that has come dangerously close to getting eliminated.
Group D had a similar outcome when it comes to standings as the biggest surprise of the season in Treviso improved to 3-0 after beating Falco Szombathely. Another surprise in the group, negative one, has been the struggle of AEK Athens which lost to Riga this week and is now 0-3.
In Group G, Darussafaka and Hapoel Holon returned to play after postponing their duel two weeks ago and both teams came out victorious. Dacka took down Brindisi while Hapoel beat Cluj.
Lastly, Group H saw the reigning champions San Pablo Burgos get the win over Oldenburg while Besiktas got a tough home win over Rytas Vilnius to make a step forward.
