PAOK Thessaloniki announced the addition of guard Vangelis Mantzaris for the rest of the 2021-22 season. He’s the second former EuroLeague champion who signs with a Basketball Champions League team these last couple of days after Alex Tyus who joined Pinar Karsiyaka.
Mantzaris last played for Hapoel Eilat in Israel and had a short stint of four games this season. He’s returning to Greece after his run with Peristeri in 2020-21.
PAOK is coming off a big road win over Nymburk for the Basketball Champions League and is currently second in Group E with a 2-2 record.
