Reigning Basketball Champions League title holders Hereda San Pablo Burgos have parted ways with head coach Zan Tabak, the team informed Monday.
Per the club’s announcement, assistant coaches Félix Alonso and Fran Hernández will take over the bench for the team’s upcoming game against EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the Basketball Champions League this Wednesday.
Despite leading Group H of the BCL along with Besiktas with a 2-1 record, the team’s discouraging course in the Spanish Liga Endesa sounded the alarm, as Burgos has lost its last five games in the domestic league to slip to 3-7 in the standings.
Tabak first joined Burgos this past summer, replacing Joan Penarroya who signed a deal with Valencia and moved to EuroCup.
