Serbian forward/center Stevan Jelovac suffered a stroke and has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit since November 14. AEK Athens informed Thursday that the player will be transferred to his homeland, Serbia, per the request of his family.
Jelovac, 32, was rushed to the hospital after he fainted while training individually looking to recover and get back on track after the ankle injury forcing him to the sidelines the last couple of weeks.
Per the latest medical updates, his condition remains stable but serious.
