Baxi Manresa completed the transfer of Ondrej Hustak, the team announced Friday.
Hustak, 18, penned a four-year contract moving from Brno to the Basketball Champions League and ACB participant. He made his pro debut during the 2020-21 season and since logged 22 appearances with the senior team in Czech Republic’s NBL. In addition, he has represented his country in junior international tournaments.
Per the press release: “BAXI Manresa has welcomed this week the pivot Ondrej Hustak, only 18 years old and 2.11m. He was born in Brno, Czech Republic, and is a new bet for the Bages club for the next 4 seasons.
Ondrej Hustak (born in Brno, Czech Republic, on November 4, 2003) turned 18 just a month ago and is the new signing of BAXI Manresa. He is a great player with a lot of projection who has not been overlooked in the technical management of the Bages club. Hustak has so far alternated between the junior and senior teams at JBC MMCITE Brno in the last two seasons. In addition, he has been called up to the national team of the Czech Republic. Sign a contract for this season and three more, until 2025.”
The team based in Manresa became the first side to clinch a berth to the BCL Round of 16. The 4-0 record has already secured the top seed in Group B with two games left in the double-legged round-robin schedule.
At the domestic level, the team led by Pedro Martinez carries a 6-5 record currently sitting eighth in the Spanish League standings.
