Falco Szombathely’s Marvin Clark ranked first in the Top 5 Plays through the second week of Basketball Champions League Round of 16 action.
Clark, 28, threw it down in style for the Hungary champions. He finished with seven points behind 3/4 field goals in Wednesday’s Gameday 2 fixture but was not enough for the team bases in Szombathely. Rytas Vilnius rallied and improved to 1-1 in Group L forcing its opponent to 0-2.
Ranking just below in second place, experienced guard Joe Ragland serving a dunk for Steve Zack. The two players combined for a total of 24 points but Hapoel U-NET Holon got off on the wrong foot starting the Round of 16 with a loss versus JDA Dijon.
One out of his three blocks for the night entered Ghanaian Amida Brimah in the third spot. The former Connecticut standout rejected Jaime Fernandez but Filou Oostende fell to Unicaja and to 0-1 in Group K.
Back to Avia Solutions Group Arena, Rytas captain Arnas Butkevicius drained a three-pointer from the top of the key and earned a foul in the process to secure fourth place. He ended up with 13 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
Debuting for Unicaja and in Europe, Matt Mooney tucking an off-balance three-pointer from way out allowed him to complete the top five plays of the week. He had eight points behind 3/5 field goals.
