Cameron Oliver has penned a contract lasting until the end of the 2021-22 season with Unicaja, the team announced Friday.

The Nevada product had appeared in a couple of NBA games with the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the 2021-22 Regular Season putting up 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per contest. He raised his total to six, counting four games played with the Houston Rockets in 2020-21. In addition, he averaged 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals per 2021-22 G League contest as a member of the South Bay Lakers.

Oliver, 25, opted to move his talents to Europe for the second time after finishing the 2019-20 season at Israel club Ironi Nes Ziona. Entering the team guided by newly-appointed head coach Ibon Navarro, he will debut in the Basketball Champions League. The team based in Malaga is off to a poor 1-2 start in Round of 16 Group K, while ranking 12th in Spain’s ACB behind an 8-12 record.

More BCL transfer news as Rytas brought back Evaldas Kairys. The experienced Lithuanian center turned pro at the team based in Vilnius and returned for a second stint stretching between 2018 and 2020. His third run begins with a contract for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

Kairys, 31, last played for Afyon Belediye in the 2020-21 season.

The team led by Giedrius Zibenas sits at 1-2 in Group L of the Round of 16. At the domestic level, the 17-3 record is good enough for second place in Betsafe LKL, 2.5 games behind Zalgiris.
