Chris Johnson stepped up for Hapoel U-NET Holon and led the team to a 98-89 win over Galatasaray Nef in the Basketball Champions League.
Galatasaray had a better start and was up by 12 in the second quarter (46-34) but the hosts quickly melted the margin with an 11-0 ruin and took over in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
The Israeli club has now improved to a 2-1 record in Group I while Galatasaray will have to recover quickly after a 0-2 start to the Round of 16.
Johnson banked in 26 points on 9-16 from the field, including 4-9 from three, while also adding eight rebounds and five assists. Michale Kyser scored 16 and Tyrus McGee 17 points.
For Galata, Dee Bost scored all of his 21 points from the three-point territory (7-10). David Kravish had 15 while DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell logged ten points, 11 boards.
