SIG Strasbourg managed to bounce back from down 16 early in the fourth quarter but Rytas Vilnius somehow survived it and took a 73-71 road win.
After this outcome, both squads now hold a 2-2 record in Group L behind Lenovo Tenerife’s 3-0 at the top of the standings.
The French team recovered from 65-49 and even took the lead (71-70) with 23 seconds left, thanks to Jordan Howard’s three free throws. However, Mindaugas Girdziunas banked in a triple at the three-second mark to hand Rytas the victory.
That was Gidziunas’s fifth point and the first triple of the game after going 0-2 from deep. Margiris Normantas and Speedy Smith scored 12 each for the victors.
On the opposing side, Howard finished with 21 points while Ike Udanoh and Jean-Baptiste Maille had ten each.
