After turning 39 and being crowned champion in the Belgian league for the 11th year in a row, Dusan Djordjevic committed to one more season with Filou Oostende, the team announced Saturday.

Joining the Belgian outfit back in 2011, the Serbian guard has been part of the entire 11-year streak on the top of the domestic league emerging as the team captain. Competing in the Basketball Champions League since the inaugural 2016-17 season and dishing out 358 assists lands him in the first place on the all-time list, seven ahead of second-placed Marcelo Huertas.

In 2021-22, he averaged 5.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.0 rebounds as Oostende reached the Round of 16 for the second time and bowed out ranking third behind U-BT Cluj-Napoca and Unicaja in Group K. The team led by Dario Gjergja had clinched a berth in the Play-In round by finishing third in Regular Season Group F and edged out Igokea m:tel in three games to extend the run into the Round of 16.

In the inaugural season of betFirst BNXT League, Djordjevic produced 5.1 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game over 29 appearances. His side retained championship status in Belgium by knocking out Kangoeroes Mechelen, 3-1, in the Final to win the national Playoffs stage. Shifting to the BNXT Playoffs, ZZ Leiden prevailed in the home-and-away series to shape the all-Dutch Final opposite Donar Groningen.

Earlier teams for Djordjevic feature Krka and Petrol Olimpija in Slovenia plus Bosna Royal, Vojvodina Srbijagas, Iraklis, Spartak Saint Petersburg, Lokomotiv Rostov, and Radnicki Belgrade.
