FIBA’s Basketball Champions League registered considerably big numbers over its digital platforms in the 2021-22 season while fan engagement skyrocketed during the Final Four that took place in Bilbao.

The Basketball Champions League continues to strengthen its position as one of the fastest growing and most digitally active leagues in Europe, mostly thanks to the growth of its digital assets.
There is much to savor from the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League. The competition gave the fans plenty of inspirational moments to discuss. In all, the sixth season registered an increase of fans and consumption, with more than 79 million video views and reached more than 107 million fans through social media over the course of this season.
The Final 4 in Bilbao itself has generated a ton of excitement, triggering more than 6 million video views, and reaching 7.7 million fans.
“The league is top tier basically under EuroLeague. I feel like with the digital everything, you guys are the best,” said Holon’s Michale Kyser.
“We are extremely happy to see the competition confirming its massive success on social media. At the end of the season, there are close to 2.5 million followers of the BCL on its various platforms. The recent launch of our Tik-Tok channel has been remarkable, and greatly participates in our growth. The digital output of the first six seasons is impressive.
