EuroLeague champion James Anderson moves to Murcia and the Basketball Champions League

James Anderson left Istanbul and he will continue his career in Murcia and the Basketball Champions League.

Per the press release: James Lee Anderson (Junction City, Arkansas, March 25, 1989, 1,98 m.) plays in the forward position and it is the first time that he will compete in Spain, wearing the UCAM Murcia shirt, after playing 11 seasons between the NBA and the Euroleague.

He began his career at Oklahoma State University, where he was unleashed as a scorer. In his third and final year he averaged 23 points and 6 rebounds per game, which earned him the 20th pick in the 2010 Draft, chosen by the San Antonio Spurs. Anderson played for four seasons in the best league in the world for four teams: Spurs, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76. In this last franchise, he played 80 games averaging 10 points per game.

In his first appearance in the Euroleague, the American forward played with Zalgiris Kaunas in the 14-15 season, achieving his best scoring records with 14.5 points and 5 rebounds per game. Those numbers earned him a return to the NBA. On his return to Europe, he played for Darussafaka and Khimki before signing with Anadolu Efes where he has achieved the greatest success. In the last four seasons he has established himself as one of the most important players of a historic team.

He completed in three consecutive Final Fours, where he has managed to win two Euroleague titles in the last two seasons. At the end of this cycle, the versatile player lands in Murcia.
