Soon after appointing Vassilis Spanoulis as its head coach, Peristeri announced the addition of big man Miro Bilan for the 2022-23 season, confirming Eurohoops reports.
Bilan, 32, began the 2021-22 season with Ukrainian side Prometey in the Basketball Champions League before the team withdrew from the competition on March 5, following the military invasion of Russia in Ukraine.
Bilan then moved to Dinamo Sassari in Italy, with which he averaged 11.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in 24 minutes across 11 Italian LegaBasket games.
The Croatian big is set to make his Basketball Champions League return with Peristeri next season for his fourth campaign. He produced averages of 10.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 12 BCL games with Prometey in 2021-22. This will also be his first experience in the Greek Basket League, after playing for ASVEL, Strasbourg, Cedevita, Zadar, and Sibenik in the past.
