Frederic Bourdillon re-signed with Hapoel U-NET Holon for the 2022-23 season, the team announced Saturday.
“Holon fans, I am returning home for another season,” said the French-Israeli guard, “I am happy to keep fighting to add historic moments for Holon. We will win more titles together. The next season will be crazy and amazing. I am as crazy as you and love it. Let’s go, Holon!”
Guided by Guy Goodes, Hapoel Holon was crowned champion in Israel’s Winner League for the second time in team history. In addition, it made the Final Four of the Basketball Champions League and settled for the fourth spot in the season-ending tournament held in Bilbao.
Bourdillon, 31, chipped in 4.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.6 steals per contest sliding into his second straight campaign in the Champions League. At the domestic level, he averaged 5.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 0.6 steals per game.
Coming off stints as a member of Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Eilat, and Maccabi Haifa the previous three seasons, he joined the Holon outfit in 2020. Back in France, before focusing on building himself up for the Israel league, he played for Antibes and Elan Chalon in the top-tier division of the country.
Previous offseason moves saw experienced floor general Joe Ragland pen a two-year contract extension and C.J. Harris make his way back for a second stint. In contrast, Guy Pnini departed after five years and rejoined Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.
