After appointing Aleksandar Dzikic as head coach, Hapoel Jerusalem began building the roster for the new season with Oz Blayzer. The club announced that the Israeli forward signed a contract for the next two years, becoming the first acquisition for 2022-23.
Blayzer, 29, spent the previous two seasons with Israeli EuroLeague side Maccabi Tel Aviv. In 2021-22, he averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6:24 minutes in EuroLeague, plus 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16.9 minutes in the Israeli Winner League, where he often had a bigger role.
With Hapoel, Blayzer will participate in the Basketball Champions League for the first time as his team will look to make the Final Four of the competition.
