Carrington joins Hapoel Jerusalem, AEK signs McGriff

Former Seton Hall standout Khadeen Carrington is a new player of Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, the team announced Tuesday.

Carrington, 26, became the fourth summer addition to the Israeli club. Looking to boost the squad, Levi Randolph, Speedy Smith and youngster Gilad Levy were signed earlier in the offseason. As for the Trinidadian-American combo guard, he generated 12.7 points, 2.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per contest introducing himself to the Champions League as a member of JDA Dijon last season. Other former teams are Coosur Real Betis, AS Monaco, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, Hubo Limburg United, and Mornar.

Elsewhere, AEK signed Cameron McGriff for the 2022-23 season. The Oklahoma State product logged three games played in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers and also spent time in the G League and Puerto Rico last season. The rookie campaign focused on Belgium as Okapi Aalst shaped his first stop in Europe. Coming in for the Greek side, he entered the class of 2022 summer additions following Kenny Williams and Nikos Persidis.

Moving on from Telekom Baskets Bonn, Javontae Hawkins joined Limoges CSP on a one-year contract with an option for an additional season. The 28-year-old American wing. Previous summer pickups were Will Yeguete, Desi Rodriguez, Bryce Jones, Mathieu Wojciechowski, and Lucas Ugolin, while Nicolas Lang extended his contract until the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Leicester Riders announced a contract extension for back-to-back BBL MVP Geno Crandall. Captain Darien Nelson-Henry previously renewed his contract and youngster Blake Bowman joined the BCL Qualifiers outfit on a multi-year contract.
