Poing guard Giordano Bortolani is taking his talents to Manresa next season on loan from Olimpia Milano, the club officially announced Tuesday.
Bortolani, 21, was named the Basketball Champions League Best Young Player after leading Treviso with 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 14 BCL games played last season.
The Italian international is set to make his first appearance outside of Italy with Manresa and will return to the BCL for his second campaign in 2022-23.
We are very happy to add him to the squad for next season; he is a very clear threat from beyond 6.75. We hope with his ability to work and his day-to-day work he will help us to be competitive on both sides of the court,” said Xevi Pujol, sports director, Manresa.
More Champions League Tuesday news saw youngster Nico Santana Mojica penning a new two-year contract with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.
Legia Warsaw signed former NBA player Devyn Marble and Sweden champion Norrkoping Dolphins added 25-year-old forward James Murray-Boyles preparing to compete in the Qualifiers.
