Hapoel Jerusalem adds Mejeris, Falco lands Cowels

Latvian combo forward Mareks Mejeris inked a two-year contract to join Basketball Champions League outfit Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem. Coming in for the team coached by Aleksandar Dzikic, he followed in the footsteps of fellow summer signings, Oz Blayzer, Khadeen Carrington, Or Cornelius, Zach Hankins, Gilad Levy, Levi Randolph, and Speedy Smith.

Experienced swingman Raymond Cowels III joined Falco Szombathely for the next season. Coming off a solid FIBA Europe Cup campaign with Legia Warsaw, he jumped into the Champions League. Earlier additions to the squad were Marko Krivacevic and Matt Tiby, while Boris Barac, Akos Keller, and Peter Veraszto all penned contract extensions.

Rather than playing college basketball in the USA, 19-year-old forward Emmanuel Ogbo signed a new contract with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, the team announced. The German side previously secured the services of Jhonathan Dunn, Eddy Edigin, Justin Johnson, Markell Johnson, Jeff Roberson, and Ben Shungu heading to the 2022-23 season.

Rookie center coming out of Providence, Nate Watson penned a one-year contract with ERA Nymburk. Kamau Stokes was the first incoming player for the NBL champions, while Petr Benda and Jakub Tuma both extended their contracts.

Preparing for the next campaign in the BCL, the lasting original Filou Oostende opened the offseason by picking up Vrenz Bleijenbergh from the Windy City Bulls and Ole Miss product Breein Tyree from the Raptors 905.

Newcomer Rasheed Moore and familiar face Sarunas Vasiliauskas moved in for CSO Voluntari. Earlier additions were Dragos Axinte, Tekele Cotton, Darko Planinic, and Lucas Tohatan, while Toddrick Gotcher and Eric Thompson are among the returning players.
