Jerai Grant boosts Budivelnyk

The veteran of 48 games played in the Basketball Champions League, Jerai Grant switches focus on helping Budivelnyk in the Lisbon Qualifying Group.

Jerami Grant’s brother has played for AEK, SIG Strasbourg, and Neptunas in the BCL. The experienced big man has also made his way to 33 games of the 7DAYS EuroCup, including 17 as a member of Promitheas last season. Gathering pieces for the next challenge, Budivelnyk must outlast Brose Bamberg, Keravnos, Norrkoping Dolphins, Golden Eagle Ylli, and Benfica to clinch a berth in the Champions League Regular Season.

Reuniting with Green Bay product Alec Brown shaped yet another boost to the frontline. The Ukrainian outfit additionally confirmed Lithuanian forward Aurimas Majauskas on the squad. Already strengthening the Qualifiers bid were Bogdan Bliznyuk, Vyacheslav Bobrov, Andrey Gritsak, Archie Goodwin, Pavlo Krutous, and Illja Tyrtyshnyk alongside new head coach Valery Plekhanov.

Big move for Keravnos by signing 34-year-old Ousman Krubally. The Atlanta-born big man has played in 25 BCL games split between Happy Casa Brindisi and PAOK. Earlier in the offseason, the Cyprus champions secured the services of Titus Robinson and retained both Deondre Burns and captain Simon Michael.

The Hungary champions, Falco Szombathely landed Stefan Pot. Coming in on a one-year contract, he joined Raymond Cowels III, Marko Krivacevic, and Matt Tiby on the list of summer signings. Also, Boris Barac, Akos Keller, and Peter Veraszto all inked contract extensions.

Experienced center Dusan Cantekin was picked up by Pinar Karsiyaka. Earlier reinforcements for the Turkish team were Thomas Akyazili, Jaylon Brown, Mert Celep, Angel Delgado, Skyler Flatten, Deniz Kilicli, Errick McCollum, and Kenan Sipahi. Meanwhile, Berkan Durmaz penned a two-year contract extension.
