It is a special day when a multi-time NBA champion sports the jersey of the team and joins the training session. That was the case for Galatasaray NEF Monday.
Draymond Green was the guest star of the Lions’ practice. The four-time NBA champion worked out and also talked with the players and head coach Andreas Pistiolis. The storied Turkish club started a thread on Twitter to share pictures.

The trip to Istanbul additionally included a visit to Vodafone Park, the home of the Besiktas football team, for the defensive specialist of the Golden State Warriors.

Green, 32, is heading to his 11th season in the NBA and as a member of the Warriors. In 2021-22, he averaged 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game in the Regular Season, following up with 8.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks per contest in the Playoffs en route to the fourth NBA championship of his career.
Preparing for the 2022-23 editions of the Basketball Champions League and Turkey’s BSL, Galatasaray launched the training camp last week. Picking up players the likes of Braian Angola and Dylan Ennis, the Istanbul outfit emerged among the early candidates for an extended run in the Champions League. Captain Goksenin Koksal along with Mahir Agva, Dee Bost, Angelo Caloiaro, Jehyve Floyd, Sadik Emir Kabaca, Raymar Morgan, Muhaymin Mustafa, Sinan Saglam, Ali Karagulle Sedat, and Yunus Emre Sonsirma shape the remaining parts of the playing squad.
