Also, Panagiotis Filippakos, Dimitris Flionis, Antonis Koniaris, Dimitris Mavroeidis, and Andreas Petropoulos are returning for the team guided by head coach Ilias Kantzouris.
AEK was drawn in Group B of the 2022-23 Champions League Regular Season. Pinar Karsiyaka, Telekom Baskets Bonn, and UnaHotels Reggio Emilia shape the four-team field, producing one direct entrant into the Round of 16 and the middle-placed teams in a best-of-three Play-In round for a spot in the Round of 16. The fourth-placed team will be eliminated. The opening round is scheduled to be held during the first week of October with the double-legged round-robin schedule of the group lasting until late December.
