Another new player for PAOK mateco is 32-year-old Greek swingman Christos Saloustros signing a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
Back to the team based in Thessaloniki following the 2014-15 stint, Saloustros carries in the experience of 33 games played in the Basketball Champions League with fellow Greek clubs, Peristeri and Promitheas over the last four seasons. A packed list of newcomers consisting of Vassilis Christidis, Zaccheus Darko-Kelly, Yannick Franke, Jaylen Hands, Vangelis Margaritis, Tyler Polley, Jalen Riley, Diamantis Slaftsakis, and Nikos Tsiakmas, receives yet another member. Also, Nate Renfro inked a contract extension during the offseason.
Coming out of Little Rock and returning to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nikola Maric moved to Igokea m:tel, another direct entry into the BCL Regular Season. The 23-year-old forward was added to the list of summer signings alongside Bryant Crawford, Haris Delalic, Mario Nakic, Kendrick Ray, Teodor Simic, and Dusan Tanaskovic. Furthermore, Stefan Djordjevic, Kosta Kondic, James Robinson, Deshawn Stephens, and Nikola Tanaskovic all penned contract extensions.
From the Bosnia champions to the Cyprus champions, Keravnos reunited with Panagiotis Markou signing the 26-year-old forward Panagiotis Markou to a two-year contract. Confirmed teammates are Deondre Burns, Ousman Krubally, Simon Michael, Remy Abell, Titus Robinson, Filippos Tigkas, and Stefanos Tigkas. The team coached by Michalis Kakiouzis will compete for a spot in the Regular Season via the Qualifying Group in Lisbon.
The Qualifiers are scheduled to take place in less than one month, from 21 to 25 September. Following up, Round 1 of the Regular Season placed in the first week of October.
