With the season starting in a few days for the Greek League, AEK and Aris are out of the list of the clubs which has been sanctioned by FIBA for their failure to honor an award of the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal.
This is quite a feat for AEK which had until recently 24 bans but managed to get settlements in all those 24 cases and presented the paperwork needed for the club to compete in the season. Aris had a much more manageable task with four bans.
It remains to be seen if those clubs will continue paying their settlements throughout the season since this is not the first summer in recent history in which AEK and to a lesser extend Aris had to face BAT-related sanctions.
