Hapoel Jerusalem gets the win in Denmark in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League Week 5

With a 44-36 run after halftime, Hapoel Jerusalem managed to beat Bakken Bears 72-71 on the road to secure its second win in Group E of the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League.

In his first away game with Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Zach Hankins had 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He has now scored 14 or more points in five of his last six road games in the competition, and he has had at least one block in each of his 19 games in the BCL.

The other new additions Levi Randolph and Mareks Mejeris contributed to the victory combining for 29 points, while Khadeen Carrington added 11 off the bench.

Bakken Bears, which has now lost three games out of three since the start of the season, found the best scoring performance in Michel Diouf, who ended the game with 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Ryan Evans, who scored 22 points in his most recent game with Bakken Bears in the BCL, the most for him in a league game, had 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Deng Adel went close to a double-double by adding 15 points and 9 rebounds.

In the last possessions of the game, first Ryan Evans scored a tough fadeaway to put his team up front, and then Mareks Mejeris sealed the deal with a clutch dunk.

With this victory, Aleksandar Dzikic’s team get ahead of Darussafaka with a 2-1 record, behind currently undefeated MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. Bakken Bears, which has won just four of its 23 games in the BCL, stays winless at the bottom.
