BAXI Manresa has reached an agreement to sign American forward Jake Layman, an experienced NBA player who comes from the Minnesota Timberwolves, until the end of the season.
Layman was drafted with the 47th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers on draft night. He spent three seasons in Portland before being dealt to the Timberwolves.
In his last season with Minnesota, he averaged 2,4 points in just 6,8 minutes of game time. His best season in the NBA was 2019-20 in Minnesota when he averaged 9,1 points.
Layman was in advanced talks with Panathinaikos recently, however, the Greek club changed plans and signed Dwayne Bacon.
