UCAM Murcia struggles but finds the win against Falco Szombathely

UCAM Murcia had some problems in a tough encounter against Falco Szombathely but found a way to beat the Hungarian team 81-74.

The 2x EuroLeague champion with Anadolu Efes James Anderson had the best game since he joined the Spanish team with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The other two summer newcomers were important for Sito Alonso’s team. Artem Pustovyi went close to a double-double with 17 points and 7 rebounds, while the Slovenian talent Urban Klavzar added 14 points.

Zoltan Perl had a sensational performance, becoming the fifth player with the most points scored as a substitute in BCL history, as he ended the game with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists off the bench.

Akos Keller and Stefan Pot tried to help him by scoring respectively 19 and 17 points.

With this win, the Spanish team keeps on rolling at home, getting the 12th consecutive win in front of its fans. On the other side, Falco Szombathely is on a six-away game losing streak.

Getting its revenge against the Hungarians after the 104-94 loss in Szombathely, UCAM Murcia reached SIG Strasbourg on top of Group A with a 3-1 record.
