Hapoel Holon is very close to qualifying for the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League Round of 16, but the Israeli team still announced a new addition to replace Kenny Kadji.
Javin DeLaurier is the newest player on Guy Goodes’ side. The 24-year-old American big comes from his first European experience with the ASK Karditsa.
In Greece, he averaged 10.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Before deciding to play overseas, he had a run between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Wisconsin Herd, in the G-League.
“We are happy about the addition of Javin. He is a committed player, with a defensive orientation, who started his first year as a rookie in Greece, and we followed his development there. He is intelligent, with the ability to pass and rebound, and he will give us the option to play with big-oriented lineups next to Marvin”, Guy Goodes said about him.
In his four years stint with Duke University, he also played with Zion Williamson, the #1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was a teammate of Jayson Tatum, RJ Barrett, and Marvin Bagley as well.
