Adding a major highlight on his third campaign in the Basketball Champions League with Igokea m:tel, Marko Josilo was voted as the Player of the Week.
Josilo, 30, is Week 9’s Player of the Week, as displayed by the results of the poll on championsleague.basketball.
He was among the five most impactful players of Week 9, per the Viziball Advanced Stats system. The best five were handed over to the fans to determine the player of the week.
The experienced forward received 67% of the votes in a dominating display compared to Maurice Kemp of Bnei Ofek Dist Herzliya drawing 19%, and Kendrick Perry of Unicaja, David Holston of JDA Bourgogne Dijon, and Jeff Withey of Surne Bilbao sharing third place with 5% each.
Tallying eight points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block the latest Player of the Week powered the Bosnia-Herzegovina champions to a key win against ERA Nymburk on the road. Igokea clinched a berth in the Play-Ins and set up a battle with Bahcesehir Koleji for Group D’s second seed and the attached home-court advantage in the next stage’s best-of-three series.
Previous standouts in the form of the BCL Player of the Week were Peristeri bwin’s Miro Bilan in Week 1, Falco Vulcano Szombathely’s Zoltan Perl in Week 2, Bnei Herzilya’s Kemp in Week 3, UCAM Murcia’s Jordan Davis in Week 4, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg’s Justin Johnson in Week 5, Limoges CSP’s Jayvon Graves in Week 6, and SIG Strasbourg’s DeAndre Lansdowne in Week 8.
