Nearing the all-time Basketball Champions League scoring record fell short of a win for Pinar Karsiyaka but Braian Angola ranked first in the Top 5 of the week.
Angola, 28, cut the deficit to one point with the late dunk fueling an unsuccessful comeback bid. The Izmir outfit failed to break the homecourt advantage of UCAM Murcia in Game 1 of the best-of-three Play-In series.
German forward Gavin Schilling dunking on a foul ranked second on the highlight reel. He finished with eight points in Limoges CSP’s narrow loss to MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.
Penn State product Tim Frazier was held to two points for AEK in the home win against Rytas, but one of his five dimes made Akil Mitchell happy, and also earned him the third spot in the Top 5.
Maintaining assist mode in fourth place, Elvar Mar Fridriksson went behind his back to set up Margiris Normantas. On a related note, Rytas blew out PAOK mateco.
Ranking fifth was Darussafaka’s Dogus Ozdemiroglu assisting newcomer Aaron White. Posting an 18-point, 14-assist double-double powered the away win versus Benfica.
