After an exciting first week of Basketball Champions League Play-Ins with surprises, wild ending, and epic performances, here we are once again with Week 2. The sixteen teams will face off between Tuesday 10/01 and Wednesday 11/01: somebody could already see its name in the Round of 16, while others would have to wait till the decisive matchup.
On Tuesday, Tofas Bursa will open the competition by facing AEK. In Game 1, the Greek side got the thrilling 73-70 win with great performances by Mitchell and Strelnieks, and Rob Gray wants to tie the series. It will be challenging to stop Hapoel Holon for Igokea, while Peristeri can take advantage of its home court when facing Dijon’s David Holston and Markis McDuffie. Finally, Vrenz Bleijenbergh looks to advance to the Round of 16 by beating Bahcesehir again.
On Wednesday, gameday starts with a banger: Pinar Karsiyaka and UCAM Murcia delivered an incredible show in Spain. It will be good to see the two face off again in Turkey. Darussafaka wants to go 2-0 against SL Benfica after winning in Portugal, while PAOK has to redeem itself after the blowout loss against Rytas Vilnius. Finally, Limoges CSP has the opportunity to tie the series against last season’s third-classified MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.
