Overcoming a sluggish start, Baxi Manresa controlled Rytas en route to the 82-69 victory in Pavello Nou Congost Tuesday.

Highlighting the pack of four double-digit scorers, Devin Robinson delivered 18 points in his Basketball Champions League debut. The former Florida standout joined Manresa from ratiopharm Ulm in December but got in the mix for head coach Pedro Martinez in Gameday 1 of Round of 16’s Group J.

Latvian Marcis Steinbergs followed with 16 points to his name. Jerrick Harding tallied nine of his 14 points in the second half. Fellow American import Frankie Ferrari put in 12 more points.

Sitting at 3-14 and tied for last in Spain’s Liga Endesa, the home side bounced back from four straight losses in the domestic league and sidelined Adam Waczynski (right leg) indefinitely Monday. Bad news all over the place, but the BCL campaign keeps on serving success after winning Group F of the Regular Season behind a 4-2 record.

The defending champions of Lithuania’s Betsafe LKL build an early seven-point lead but went on to trail by double-digits for most of the remainder of the contest. Marcus Foster adding a 25-point effort to his impressive 2022-23 campaign fell shy of staying competitive throughout the 40 minutes. Elvar Mar Fridriksson got to 12 points in the losing display on the road.

Domestically, the team coached by Giedrius Zibenas packing an 11-4 record currently ranks second behind Zalgiris in Lithuania’s top-flight division.
