After the devastating earthquake that devastated Turkey and Syria, the Basketball Champions League decided to postpone all the Round of 16 Week 3 games involving the Turkish teams of Darussafaka, Bahcesehir, and Galatasaray. Nevertheless, the rest of the competition brought the fans a great show.
On Tuesday, other than the matchup between Darussafaka and UCAM Murcia which was obviously rescheduled, we had Lenovo Tenerife still unbeaten after getting the win in the Spanish derby against Bilbao, and Limoges CSP falling once again, losing against AEK. But all the headlines went to Hapoel Jerusalem, which managed to overcome a tough opponent like SIG Strasbourg thanks to a crazy turn of events in the very last seconds of the encounter when Levi Randolph hit the game-winning shot.
On Wednesday, only two games have been played. In Lithuania, Telekom Baskets Bonn first ran away and then survived Rytas Vilnius’ late comeback with the first double-double of the BCL season of TJ Shorts. Then, JDA Bourgogne Dijon handed Hapoel Holon its third consecutive loss in the Round of 16. The purple-and-gold side is now in trouble in Group I.
